Ranches

A lot of ranchers have kept up their ranches through the years, hiring cowboys on a come-and-go basis. All these ranches are far out of town, 'out on the range' you might say. The herds graze in large, frenced areas and herds are kept seperate, though cattle are still branded. Ranchers are always looking for more help, men or women. Small herds are driven into Hooker once every two months and into bigger cities once a year.
