The Characters:

Characters must be believable. No complete geniuses, no perfect looking or gets-all-the-girls or -guys type people. Mary-Sue’s we call them. But also, we don’t want characters that run around depressed all the time, with a completely tragic life story. If your character is like that, contact me first. We don't mind a couple tragidies, but no "Kill me or I'll do it myself." said Johny as he stood on the edge of the high school building. type kids, okay? Remember, believeable.

Post the applications in “Create” and wait for them to be reviewed. Be patient, we cannot be on 24/7, though we try our best.

Please have your character portrayed by a celebrity; it is so much easier on everyone this way. And don’t forget to post them in the face claim. There is a page to help you on the Links menu if you are having trouble locating a celebrity. Also, when claiming a celebrity, please give a picture to help with the process.

If you cannot place a Celebrity on your character, the STAFF will locate and place one on there for you.

Characters may swear as much as they wish, but please, do not go overboard. I do not wish to see swear words every other word. There is a list that the staff uses to allow and deny swear words. Be prepared for some of your words to be altered if you do curse in your posts.

All characters will be seperated into the era listed on their bio as their 'birth era'. However, a Jumper character does not always have to stay in that era; They have the ability to jump to a different era at will.

There are special rules for Jumper characters. To see this list, please click here. Each member will be allowed one Jumper character; For each additional Jumper, members need to have 50 posts. (Example: At 50 points, you can have two Jumpers. At 200 posts you can have 5 Jumpers. Etc.)


Applications && Registering:

If any character remains inactive for over a month without a post, then we will remodel them into adoptable roles. We archive all deleted applications, so if you wish to reclaim your character and it hasn't already been taken by someone else, ask an admin and we'll be happy to help.

Please, do your best in your profile/application as it is how we will be able to tell how literate you are, and whether or not you will be able to keep up with what we ask of you. We are sorry if that sounds rude or harsh.

Do not post anywhere until your application has been approved. Not hard, we are on every day to look over this stuff. If we do not get to it in two days, you may contact one of us to remind us, especially if one of us asked you to make changes to your application. It is highly recommended that if one admin asks you to make a change, that you contact that same admin to accept the bio, if it has not already been accepted in two days.

When posting your application, Do Not Change the Application Format. In doing so, your character will be denied until it is fixed. Also, the staff has the ability to deny your character three times. After the third time, that character cannot come into play on the site, ever.


Plot && Sub-Plots:

If your characters are involved in the main plot, then they really have got to be active. Every character is important and to get plots moving, we would like everyone to be on daily if possible.

If your character is involved in a sub-plot then the same general idea, they need to be active to keep those plots going. They are all interesting enough that they should not be too hard to play out. Use your imiganations and come to an admin if you need help.

Have an idea for a sub-plot, do you? Submit it to the Plotting board on the main page. There, you can talk plot all you want with the other members and staff. If you need boards added or would like another era created for your plot, talk to an admin.


Out of Character:

Be kind to everyone, we are all trying to have fun here. Respect should be given to all staff, members, and guests. And try to be helpful. If a new member or guest asks a question, try your best to answer it or direct them to someone who can.

Don’t swear a lot; especially toward another member or guest.

Signatures are not allowed to stretch the boards. The maximum size for them is 550X250. If your signature goes beyond this, it will be removed by a staff member.

When you're in the OOC boards, have fun, and go crazy but remember to stay as literate as possible. Don't go from amazingly literate to tlking lyk dis. Kay?


The Admins:

Respect all the staff equally. If you think we are unfair, then talk to us, we are reasonable about most things. Obviously the rules are to be followed but circumstances can change.

To become a moderator, you can PM any of the five admins and tell them you are interested. If you have proven you can stay active and are trustworthy, you may be chosen as a moderator. Please understand if you do not get anything. We can only have so many mods for the amount of members on the forum. Though, at the current time, moderators are not needed.


Role Playing:

Grammar and Spelling are important. The Spell Check is there for a reason. Everyone likes a literate post.

No Godmoding or Powerplaying. It's quite annoying and doing so will result in banishment. (Jeez, guys - this is Roleplaying 101!)

If a thread is specifically for two or so characters put [closed] or the characters name in the brackets. If it is for anyone to join, either put [open] in the brackets, or in the title somewhere specifically, or simply leave out the brackets.

If the thread is getting a little far into a relationship or drug use or fighting, put a rating in the title, i.e. PG-13. A staff member will then look over the thread and determine if the thread needs to be ended or if the members simply need to just make the scene more vague.

This is a LITERATE site, and for each post to be at least three GOOD paragraphs long is not that hard. If you cannot come up with three paragraphs make sure it is at least a minimum of 250 words.

I hate to even have to put this as a rule, because it should be common sense. Theft, racism of any kind, bashing, and threats are not permitted on this site. Even if it is in character. Anyone who does will be BANNED... Consider this your only warning.

You must post twice in the first week you have joined. And you MUST log-in once a week to stay active. Without doing so, you will be removed as a member.

No reserving or "To Be Continued" posts. If you have something to post, then post it. Do not take up a reply and make people wait for you to finish before they can post. These will be deleted. If there are any complaints, your post will be removed and you will get a warning.

Also, once a thread is dead, you are REQUIRED to post a reply stating that it is so dead. This is to reduce clutter on the board and to keep it organized. If you would like to start a Dead Post up again, you will need to PM a staff member to let them know. It will be moved to it's original spot afterwards and you can continue posting from there.
